K-2

Exceptional Christian preschool program

Guiding your child through preschool and providing them with an education filled with joy, faith, and success

At Precious Lambs Academy, our preschool K-2 program plays an important role in your child’s early learning years. During this program, our teachers will focus on teaching potty training and self-help skills, such as holding utensils, pencils and crayons. They’ll also help your child learn to form 5-word sentences.

Designed for children aged 24 months – 35 months, our K-2 program helps young children get started on their exciting journey of discovery and growth. We introduce our students to various subjects and experiences tailored to their developmental stages. They will learn how to grip pencils, cut with scissors, and start tracing and coloring inside the lines of their workbooks.

K2 is a structured preschool program and and this is the age when your child will start the Abeka program along with developing social, emotional, and physical skills amongst their peers.

Our dedicated team of educators is here to guide, , teach and nurture your child through their time in the K-2 program.

Abeka curriculum

The preschool K-2 program is the first program at Precious Lambs Academy that introduces the Abeka Curriculum, which is designed to provide a comprehensive education to all our young learners.

Here, your child will be introduced to foundational academic concepts with the help of the mascots Amber Lamb and Button Bear!

Our program encompasses:

  • Vocabulary expansion
  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Cognitive development
  • Shapes and colors
  • Art
  • Social skills
  • Problem-solving
  • Recognizing body parts
  • Music and movement
  • Foreign languages – ASL
  • Eye-hand coordination

Milestones for the K-2 program include recognizing colors and shapes and learning the alphabet. It also includes goals like simple counting and body part recognition. Not only this, but all our young pupils will learn self-help skills and will define fine and gross motor skills.

Detailed daily reports

We know how important it is for you to stay informed about your child’s day-to-day experience while in the K-2 program. This is why we always offer daily reports to every parent.

Daily reports include an overview of your child’s day at Precious Lambs Academy so you can stay on top of all the essential information, like their academic lessons, potty training, lunch, snacks, rest times, and your childs mood.

Developing a loving relationship with God

What Our Families are Saying

I love this preschool/infant care! All of my three children have attended at one point in time. I’ve had children in the infant care, toddler care, preschool and kindergarten program here. The school truly teaches the whole child- spiritual, emotional and academic. The teachers are there because they have a love for children and God and it shows in their care. The school provides an excellent foundation in number sense skills and reading. My four year old entered Kindergarten at a 1st grade reading level. I contribute my current 3rd and 5th grader’s academic success to their early years here, at Cornerstone/Precious Lambs. My 18month old currently attends and is already learning so much!

I have worked in so many schools and daycares but so far I think this one was the best both for kids and for teachers especially the director Ms. Carman.
